Why are you running for HCDSB Trustee Wards 4 & 5?
I am running because I care about our schools. From recruiting for the Basketball Free Throw to playing for School Masses to volunteering in the kindergarten room, I have been heavily engaged in the care of our Ward 4 and 5 students. I did this as a Trustee and afterwards. I care.
What are your priorities as a Trustee?
My absolute priority is the well-being of students. They must be included, cared for, and allowed to rise to their greatest potential. I also prioritize meaningful community engagement. Communication is key. Home, school, and parish must move forward as one, or we don't move forward at all. I will also work hard to ensure that staff are given the professional tools they need to bring out the very best in our children.
What makes you connected to Wards 4 & 5?
I have lived in Wards 4 and 5 for most of my professional life. I have volunteered in the schools of Wards 4 & 5. I am an associate member of the neighbourhood communities. I have played organ and guitar in the churches of Wards 4 & 5. It is where I live, and I am proud of it.
